These Terms govern SelfSIA software and related services supplied by Self Software Systems SIA, registration number 40203713044, VAT number LV40203713044, Anniņmuižas bulvāris 19–38, Rīga, LV-1067, Latvia (“SelfSIA”, “we”, “us”). Contact us at [email protected] or that postal address.
Your contract includes these Terms, the plan and price accepted at checkout, and any separately agreed written service scope. The Data Processing Agreement applies where we process personal data on your behalf. The Privacy Policy explains our own processing; it is not a request for blanket consent. Specific written service terms take priority for their subject matter, the Data Processing Agreement takes priority for customer-directed processing, and mandatory law always takes priority.
A business customer acts for a trade, business, craft or profession, including for a company. A consumer is an individual acting outside those purposes. Your actual purpose and applicable law determine your status; a contractual description does not remove consumer protection. A person accepting for an organisation confirms authority to bind it.
The business liability cap and business loss exclusions in section 13 apply only to business customers. Consumers retain statutory rights to supply, conformity, updates, correction, price reduction, termination, reimbursement and compensation. Nothing limits a right or remedy that applicable law makes mandatory.
SelfSIA provides financial administration software, bookkeeping workflows, document processing, reporting, integrations and AI assistance. Features and supported countries depend on the plan and available integrations. A waitlist entry does not promise access on a particular date. Beta or trial limitations will be identified when offered; mandatory consumer rights still apply.
Software access alone does not appoint SelfSIA as your accountant, auditor, tax adviser, legal adviser or agent with a general power to act. Any separately supplied professional or regulated service requires an express written scope and the permissions required by law. A disclaimer does not change the legal nature of services actually performed.
You must be at least 18 and legally able to contract. Keep account and organisation details accurate, control access granted to members, protect sign-in methods and recovery codes, and report suspected misuse promptly. You are responsible for instructions you or your authorised users give, subject to our own obligations and mandatory rules concerning unauthorised transactions.
Before ordering, review the plan, total price, applicable taxes, billing interval and any minimum commitment, and correct input errors. The final payment button identifies an order with an obligation to pay. A signup or waitlist entry alone is not a paid subscription. The contract is concluded when we confirm acceptance of your order. Save the checkout details and any order confirmation supplied to you. We will provide the contract confirmation and information required by law in a form you can retain. You may also save or print these Terms and contact us for contract information. The contract language is English unless another language is expressly offered and agreed. These legal documents are currently provided in English.
A paid subscription renews for the interval displayed at checkout until cancelled. Cancel through the billing portal or email [email protected] before renewal; email cancellation is effective when received. Cancellation stops future renewals and ordinarily takes effect at the end of the paid period. This does not postpone statutory withdrawal or termination rights. Keep a copy of your request and contact us about an incorrect renewal charge.
We may change future renewal prices with at least 30 days' advance notice by email or another durable medium, stating the new price, effective date and how to cancel before it applies. A change does not increase the price of an already paid period. If payment fails, we may retry collection and, after reasonable notice, suspend affected paid features. We correct billing errors and provide refunds required by law or these Terms. Business fees for an already supplied period are otherwise non-refundable.
If you conclude a service contract as a consumer at a distance, you may withdraw without giving a reason within 14 days from the day the contract is concluded. Send an unequivocal withdrawal statement to [email protected] or our postal address before the deadline. The form below is optional. Missing legally required withdrawal information may extend this period as provided by law.
Paid features may become available after payment. Availability, payment, sign-in or use does not by itself remove your withdrawal right or replace an express request for early performance. If you withdraw after expressly requesting service during the withdrawal period, a proportionate charge for service actually supplied is payable only when all legally required information and consent conditions have been met. Where those conditions have not been met, we will not charge an amount that consumer law prohibits. For a service fully performed during that period, loss of the right occurs only where the legal conditions are met, including your prior express consent and acknowledgement of that consequence. Different rules for separately supplied digital content will be explained and agreed separately if applicable.
We reimburse payments due back to you within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal, using the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise and without a reimbursement fee. Any lawful proportionate service charge will be explained. Other statutory remedies remain available.

To: Self Software Systems SIA, Anniņmuižas bulvāris 19–38, Rīga, LV-1067, Latvia; [email protected].
I/We hereby give notice that I/We withdraw from my/our contract for the following service: ______.
Ordered on / contract concluded on: ______. Consumer name(s): ______. Consumer address: ______. Account email or order reference, if available: ______. Date: ______. Signature of consumer(s), only if sent on paper: ______.
You retain rights in your data. You must have a lawful basis and necessary authority to supply data, connect accounts, invite users and instruct processing, including of employee and counterparty information. You grant us the limited rights needed to host, copy, transmit and process data to provide and secure your requested service. Customer personal data processed on your behalf is governed by the Data Processing Agreement; this licence does not authorise unrelated use or general-purpose model training.
Keep complete source records and assess your recordkeeping obligations. Our obligation to retain our billing records does not automatically satisfy your obligation to retain your company's books. Maintain appropriate exports and source copies, and notify us promptly about missing or inaccurate records. These precautions do not excuse our failure to perform contractual duties.
AI classifications, extracted figures, forecasts, summaries and draft reports can contain errors or omit context. Review material inputs and outputs before relying on them, and seek qualified advice where needed. Unless expressly agreed in a separate service scope, you decide the accounting treatment, tax position and filing or payment instruction.
Before authorising a filing or payment, check the taxpayer, reporting period, source data, amounts, recipient, bank details and deadline. Automation operates within the permissions and settings you select; review and revoke standing permissions when no longer appropriate. Report apparent errors promptly and take reasonable steps to avoid further loss, including contacting your bank or tax authority when urgent action is needed. Cooperation does not transfer to you loss caused by our breach where law makes us responsible.
Preparing a report is not submitting it. A transmission acknowledgement is not necessarily acceptance by the authority. Initiating a payment is not confirmation that funds reached the recipient. Check the authority's or payment provider's final status and do not assume an obligation is satisfied from a draft or pending status. We remain responsible for functions we expressly undertake, subject to section 13.
No output guarantees a tax saving, approval or avoidance of penalties. Tax principal properly owed independently of an error is not a loss caused by that error. Additional amounts caused by a breach are considered under the applicable liability rules, including consumer protections.
You choose which external bank, payment, tax authority, identity, commerce, mailbox or messaging accounts to connect and authorise the requested access. Their own terms may apply. Connections, consent expiry, outages and data delays can affect the service; follow reconnection or action notices and check time-sensitive results.
We do not control independent services you contract with. This does not exclude our responsibility for our integration code, instructions, selection or management of processors, or other responsibility imposed by law. References to third-party terms do not override our commitments to you.
Do not use SelfSIA unlawfully, upload malware, infringe others' rights, defeat access controls, disrupt the service or access another customer's data without authority. Do not resell access or copy or reverse-engineer protected software except with written permission or where law permits. We and our licensors retain rights in the software, branding and documentation. You receive a limited, non-exclusive right to use the agreed service during your subscription or permitted free access.
We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Maintenance, failures and security incidents may interrupt availability; no uptime or recovery time is guaranteed unless expressly agreed in a service level agreement. Consumer conformity and supply rights remain unaffected.
Changes may be needed for security, legal compliance, technical compatibility or improved functionality. For a consumer's ongoing digital service, changes beyond those needed for conformity will have a valid reason, no additional cost, and the notice and termination rights required by law. If such a change negatively affects access or use beyond a minor extent, we will explain it in advance on a durable medium, including its date and the right to terminate free of charge within the applicable period, ordinarily 30 days from notice or the change, whichever is later, unless a legally sufficient unchanged version remains available. Business customers will receive reasonable advance notice of material reductions to a paid service and may end the affected service before the reduction with a refund of unused prepaid fees.
We may suspend an affected service where reasonably necessary to address a material breach, non-payment after notice, an actual security threat or a legal requirement. We will explain the reason unless prohibited and allow a reasonable opportunity to remedy it where practicable. We will limit scope and duration to what is reasonably necessary. You may terminate for our material breach if we do not remedy it within a reasonable period after notice, without limiting rights permitting immediate termination.
If we discontinue a paid service for reasons other than your breach, we will give reasonable advance notice and refund unused prepaid fees. Mandatory consumer termination and reimbursement rights prevail over ordinary billing-period cancellation rules.
Within 30 days after termination, you may request a copy of available customer data in a commonly used machine-readable form at [email protected]. Requests are handled through support after verifying authority and agreeing the scope and practical delivery arrangements. We will preserve data needed for a timely return request while handling it, subject to legal or security restrictions and any earlier lawful deletion instruction. This period does not shorten a mandatory right to retrieve content or personal data. Deletion, restricted legal retention and backup handling follow the Data Processing Agreement and Privacy Policy. Paid functionality need not remain accessible after termination.
For business customers, apart from express contractual commitments and non-excludable obligations, we do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, a particular financial outcome or suitability for a purpose not agreed with us. This does not disclaim the reasonable care and skill promised above.
For consumers, we must supply the agreed digital service and keep it in conformity, including legally required updates. If supply or conformity fails, you may require performance or correction and, in the circumstances prescribed by law, a price reduction, termination and reimbursement. Contact [email protected] so we can address the problem. Business warranty exclusions and business liability rules do not apply to you.
Every customer. Nothing excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, intentional wrongdoing or gross negligence; death or personal injury where liability cannot lawfully be limited; or any other non-excludable liability. Nothing limits a data subject's statutory rights, a regulator's powers, or mandatory payment-service, data-protection or consumer remedies. These exceptions prevail over every cap, exclusion and disclaimer in the contract, including the Data Processing Agreement.
Business customers only: aggregate cap. Subject to the preceding paragraph, our total liability to you arising out of the service, these Terms and the Data Processing Agreement, whether in contract, tort (including ordinary negligence) or otherwise, for all claims allocated to a contract year is capped at the greater of (a) all fees you actually paid us for SelfSIA services in the 12 months immediately preceding the first event giving rise to those claims, and (b) EUR 100. A contract year is each successive 12-month period beginning when your service contract first takes effect. Claims are allocated to the year in which the event causing loss first occurred. Claims from the same or related acts, omissions or underlying cause are treated together and allocated to the year of the first such event. Multiple claimants acting for the same customer, legal grounds or proceedings do not multiply the cap.
Business customers only: direct financial losses. The aggregate cap expressly applies to recoverable direct financial losses caused by ordinary negligence or another breach that may lawfully be limited. These include, where legally recoverable, additional tax penalties or interest, lost tax relief, losses from erroneous or duplicate payment instructions, reasonable correction or re-filing costs, and reasonable data restoration costs. Listing a loss does not make us responsible for an amount we did not cause or create a right to recover an amount the law does not allow.
Business customers only: excluded losses. Subject always to the first paragraph, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or lost profits, revenue, business opportunity, goodwill or anticipated savings. The direct losses expressly listed above are governed by the cap rather than this exclusion. Each party must take reasonable measures to mitigate loss; any reduction for failure to mitigate applies only as law permits and to reasonably avoidable loss.
Consumers. Neither the business cap nor business loss exclusions applies to consumers. Your entitlement to compensation and other remedies is determined by applicable consumer law and other mandatory law.
Changes apply prospectively and do not alter accrued claims or a completed paid period. We will send material changes, their reason and effective date by email or another durable medium at least 30 days in advance, except where a shorter period is required by law or urgently necessary for security. You may reject a material adverse change and end the affected service before it applies, with a refund of unused prepaid fees. Where express agreement is legally required, we will obtain it. Posting new wording or treating silence as consent does not override those requirements.
Latvian law governs the contract. This does not remove mandatory protection available to a consumer under applicable law, including the law of their habitual residence where relevant. Business disputes may be brought before the competent courts of Latvia. Consumers may use any court available under mandatory jurisdiction rules.
Send complaints to [email protected]; we respond within the time required by law. Informal discussion does not restrict a remedy or extend a limitation deadline. Latvian consumers may seek help from the Consumer Rights Protection Centre (PTAC) and an applicable consumer dispute resolution body. Cross-border EU consumers may contact their local European Consumer Centre.
If a provision is invalid, the others apply to the extent legally possible; an invalid consumer term is not rewritten to the consumer's disadvantage. Failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. An assignment in a merger, reorganisation or business sale must not reduce a consumer's rights or guarantees. A professional or regulated service needs an express written scope; these Terms alone do not represent that a licence or insurance exists.
